Good things happen when the sky’s the limit

What do you do if a client dares you to jump out of a fast-moving plane at 12,000ft?

It was at this moment that we regretted our catch phrase, “we always do whatever it takes!”. But, never one to say no, Mike Butler, our MD decided to go through with it and persuaded some of the team to join him too!

Luckily, it was a beautiful spring day for skydiving at Oxfordshire’s ex military airport. The anxious McDonald Butler team came to support the brave four – Mike Butler, Managing Director, two daring members of the team and our client Mark Thomson, Director Retail Industry Solutions at Motorola Solutions.

Aside from the serious nerves, and the “Shut up and Jump” sign above the cavity in the plane, things were going well. It was when Mark (still our client), asked Mike to hold on really tight to him as his ropes had broken, that regret set it. But hilariously, this was just a practical joke (how we laughed) and Mike made it to the green fields below with his brave troops.

I think we can honestly say we go above and beyond the call of duty for our clients and we also managed to raise over £2,000 for The St Nicholas Nairobi Fund who support and care for children in some of the poorest areas of Kenya.

Take a look at the brilliant team and highlights of the jump in this video:
