Festival season has certainly arrived! The rolling fields of Glastonbury have been reduced to nothing more than a quagmire and the sleepy Isle of Wight have had their bi-annual wake up call. It’s a British right to enjoy the glorious summer (or what we have of it) and here at McDonald Butler we feel no different! Fittingly, our annual sponsored event centres on just that, but McDonald Butler doesn’t just go to any old festival… We go to House Festival.
House Festival is a fully fledged one day festival bringing not only the best in music but all the gourmet food and as many fine summer cocktails you can consume. From giving yourself whiplash on the dodgems to the fixing all the creaks and groans with a complementary massage, House Festival has everything you need for a fun day out.
And yes we love it, but that’s not the reason we do it. We have sponsored House Festival for the last 3 years because part of the funds raised from this fantastic event go to War Child, a dynamic charity which provides life-changing support to vulnerable children whose families, communities and schools have been torn apart by war. It’s a cause particularly close to our heart and one that the McDonald Butler Force for Good ethos strongly supports. Read more about our Force for Good initiative, our work with House Festival and many other programs here.
This year’s festival was just as fabulous as ever, whilst mingling with some of the biggest names in B2B Tech and with highs of 28 °C (yes, we will mention the weather), we heard the best of the best from the likes of Dizzy Rascal, The Feeling, Paloma Faith and Sam Smith. Ambitious appetites were regretted on the spinning rides and celebrity spotting (or hunting) included the Made in Chelsea crew, Ant and Dec, Keith Lemon and my favourite Kirstie Allsopp.
All in all a brilliant day, but don’t take it from us; we’ll end off with our comments from our Clients.
